Engineering Energy have designed and manufactured a unique critical plant monitoring system. This can be used to monitor all your business critical plant and can be set up to monitor current, air pressure temperature and humidity.
This continuously transmits data back to a dedicated portal in real time and will alarm key members of your team as and when there is an issue and an item of plant is performing outside of its normal operating parameters.
The system was originally designed to protect restaurant chains from closure due to plant failure as they can lose thousands of pounds. Initially it was for kitchen extract systems monitoring the motor performance, air pressure, gas valve and supply air motors, anything that could activate and close the gas valve therefore closing the kitchen. Whilst in its design stage we looked at how we could also make further financial savings for the customer, so we looked at other areas where there is a large spend and found this to be carbon filters. Most large restaurant chains have a maintenance regime and change their filters periodically. With our system this will no longer be necessary and you will only need to replace them when they have been fully utilised. We predict this could save you at least one full set annually, again making big financial savings across multiple sites straight back on your bottom line.
R&D has been carried out at a large restaurant chain in Bristol where we monitored their business critical kitchen extract system and this turned out to be very successful proving the system works and will save closures.
This system has now been developed further, to monitor your electrical mains, so you can manage your power usage as there are many buildings
where plant and lighting are left on when the buildings are unoccupied wasting too much energy. This is a global problem that we all need to address and these savings will go straight on your bottom line.
This system can be utilised for any form of critical plant due to the way it was designed. We can install it in data centres and monitor the critical cooling plant along with the temperature and humidity and this will tell us when a compressor starts to operate outside of its normal operating parameters again saving the compressor from destruction and raising temperatures in the data centre, plus potential very expensive hire of a temporary chiller and the wait to get a new replacement compressor as these are not normally off the shelf items.
